Board Members Needed
The SUC Board is in need of some additional members - up to 3 required ASAP! If you are interested in coming out, please either contact us or come out to our next meeting on Wednesday, December 21st starting at 8pm. The meeting will be held at the indoor soccer centre on Falconbridge (where we play indoor) and is upstairs in the off-track betting area.
As a board, we are required to have a minimum of 5 members - we are currently sitting at 6, with one leaving in February. If we keep staying at these minimums, a few things are likely to happen:
- the quality of work being done will begin to deteriorate due to people being stretched too far
- the current members may decide to leave because of the workload, thus taking all of our experience away
- THE LEAGUE MAY CEASE TO EXIST!
So, if you enjoy playing organized ultimate, please be open to joining up and helping out! The board meets monthly for about an hour - nothing too taxing! And half of those meetings are done directly before ultimate games, so it's something you're already planning for. The positions won't be set for the rest of the year (until the next AGM), so you would be joining as a member-at-large and helping out in various areas of need. If you do see something you like, or would like to do, we are open to that (and highly encourage it).
